Manual Fan Switch Install
Materials Needed:
This is where I've mounted my LEDs and switches in my car. I wanted the switch hidden from view, as you can see. I located it in the ashtray. I had to drill a hole for this, and two small holes under the cigarette lighter for the LEDs, which came from Radio Shack with chrome beveled edges. I think it looks like a very professional install. Up is high speed, both LEDs illuminated, Down is low speed, Green LED illuminated.
This is where you have to splice into the computer wiring harness. You need to tap into the harness in two places, and you *must* solder the connections, and tape with electrical tape.
Additionally, not shown, you need 3 47 ohm 1 watt 5% resistors spliced into these lines, to avoid a SES light on a 96/97 OBD2 car. The wires can be easily run through the PCM gromet in the firewall, which enters under the dashboard.
